HELENA HAGER

Helena joined Huddleston Law Group as a Paralegal in 2021 and became a licensed Attorney in 2023. Helena grew up in Lima, Peru, and later moved to the Washington, D.C., area to attend the American University Washington College of Law and specialize in international law.

Helena is a versatile attorney with a solid foundation in immigration and international law. Her diverse practice includes the representation of the corporate sector for employment-based immigration matters and handles issues regarding family law in an immigration context.

Helena has been passionate about learning and understanding the interplay between U.S. immigration laws and the operational needs of client organizations to anticipate challenges and put strategies in place. Client engagement is central to successfully providing legal impact, and Helena is committed to creating a high level of communication and trust. She takes the time to truly understand the client and incorporate their needs, goals, and values to provide pertinent advice.

EDUCATION

Helena earned a Master of Laws in International Legal Studies (LL.M.) with a specialization in International Organizations in December 2008 from the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. She also earned a Bachelor of Law and Political Science (LL.B. – Equivalent: Juris Doctor) in 2001 from the San Martin de Porres University, College of Law in Lima, Peru. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Helena is currently licensed in New York only. *** Practice limited to federal immigration law.
She is also licensed to practice in the Lima-Peru jurisdiction.
